LAMBNet Labs Inc. (“LAMBNet”, “we”, “us”) is an IT services and software company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. These terms govern your use of the lambnet.ca website, our client portal, and the LAMBNet mobile apps for iOS and Android (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
The short version
- Use the Services lawfully and don’t try to break them or break into them.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself; tell us right away if they leak.
- Your data stays yours. Our software and site stay ours.
- Paid engagements are governed by the agreement we sign together; these terms cover the Services themselves.
- Questions? Email [email protected] — a person will answer.
Your account
Accounts on our client portal are created by us for clients and their teams. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately and we will help you lock it down. We may suspend an account to protect you, other clients, or the Services.
Acceptable use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the Services to harm, harass, or defraud anyone.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without written permission, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Interfere with the Services — no overloading, scraping at scale, or distributing malware.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful.
- Resell or misrepresent the Services as your own.
If you find a security vulnerability, we would genuinely like to hear about it — email [email protected] and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it publicly.
Your content
Support tickets, messages, files, and anything else you submit through the Services remain yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Services — and for nothing else. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.
Our content
The Services — including the website, portal, apps, and their design, text, and code — are owned by LAMBNet or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. That licence does not include copying, modifying, or redistributing our software or content, except where an open-source licence or written agreement says otherwise.
Client engagements
IT services, consulting, and software work we perform for you are governed by the engagement agreement, statement of work, or service agreement we enter into together. If those documents conflict with these terms, the signed agreement wins for that engagement. These terms still apply to your use of the website, portal, and apps.
Mobile apps
The LAMBNet apps for iOS and Android are provided under these same terms. Your app store’s own terms (Apple App Store or Google Play) also apply to the download itself. Updates may be delivered through the app stores, and we recommend installing them — older versions may stop working as the Services evolve.
Reddit apps
Some of our mobile apps are clients for Reddit (our “Reddit apps”). These are independent apps: they are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Reddit, Inc. When you use them:
- You sign in with your own Reddit account through Reddit’s official sign-in flow (OAuth). We never see or store your Reddit password.
- Your use of Reddit through the apps is also governed by Reddit’s User Agreement and policies. Content you view or post belongs to its authors and is handled under Reddit’s terms, not ours.
- The apps depend on Reddit’s platform and API. If Reddit changes or restricts its API, features may change or stop working, and that is outside our control.
Availability
We work hard to keep the Services up, and we publish service status openly. But we do not promise uninterrupted availability: maintenance, upgrades, and events outside our control can cause downtime. Where a signed agreement includes uptime commitments, that agreement governs.
Disclaimers
The website, portal, and apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Content on the website — including field notes and documentation — is provided for general information and is not professional advice for your specific situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAMBNet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — and our total liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here overrides the terms of a signed engagement agreement.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account and data as described in our privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for breach of these terms, to comply with the law, or to protect the Services and the people who use them. Where practical, we will give you notice and a chance to sort it out first.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta, and you and we each attorn to their jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders directly. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
